      Plain-language summary: We collect your name, email, phone number, trade, and location when you join our waitlist. We use this information only to contact you about Sohnus. We do not sell your data. You can ask us to delete it at any time.
    

1. Who we are

Sohnus ("we", "our", "us") is a platform being built for blue-collar workers. Sohnus is currently operated by its co-founders, Rogerio Borges Ferreira and Khaled Mohamed Badawy, as the joint data controllers responsible for your personal data. This policy will be updated with a registered legal entity once Sohnus is incorporated.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data when you interact with our website and join our waitlist.

2. What data we collect

When you join our waitlist, we collect:

First and last name
Email address
Phone number (including country code)
Your trade or profession
City and country

We use Plausible Analytics to understand how people find and use this website. Plausible does not use cookies, does not collect personal data, and does not track you across websites. The data collected (page views, referrer source, country, device type) is fully anonymised and aggregated. No consent banner is required for Plausible under GDPR. 3. Why we collect it

We collect this data for the following purposes:

To manage the waitlist: tokeep track of who has signed up for early access.
To contact you: tolet you know when Sohnus is ready and to involve you in shaping the product.
To understand our users: your trade and location help us build a product that works for the people actually using it.

The legal basis for processing this data is your explicit consent, given when you check the consent box and submit the waitlist form.

4. How we store your data

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a cloud database provider. Data may be stored on servers located in the European Union or the United States depending on your region. Supabase is compliant with GDPR and SOC 2 standards.

We retain your data until you request deletion or until Sohnus is no longer operational.

5. Who we share your data with

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third parties. We share your data only with:

Supabase: our database provider, used solely to store waitlist submissions.
Plausible Analytics: our analytics provider. Plausible receives anonymised, aggregated usage data only (no names, emails, or personal identifiers).

We will never share your data with advertisers, data brokers, or other platforms.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

Access: request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Deletion: ask us to delete your data from our systems at any time.
Correction: request that we correct any inaccurate information.
Withdrawal of consent: withdraw your consent and have your data removed.
Portability: request your data in a readable format.

To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@sohnus.com. We will respond within 30 days.

7. GDPR (European users)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), your data is processed in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Our lawful basis for processing is your freely given, specific, and informed consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR).

You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority if you believe your rights have been violated.

8. CCPA (California users)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal data we collect, to request deletion of your data, and to opt out of the sale of your personal information. We do not sell personal information.

9. Children's privacy

Sohnus is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe we have collected data from a minor, please contact us at privacy@sohnus.com and we will delete it immediately.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as Sohnus grows and as we add new features. When we make significant changes, we will notify waitlist members by email. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent version.
